These Terms of Service (“Terms”) govern access to and use of StayEd, the Early Dropout Risk Decision Support System operated by the Department of Education, Schools Division of Pangasinan II (“the Division”) for the Alternative Learning System (ALS). Please read them carefully.
1.Acceptance of Terms
By registering for, signing in to, or using StayEd, you agree to these Terms, to the Privacy Policy, and to applicable DepEd policies. If you do not agree, do not use the system.
2.Eligibility and Accounts
StayEd is intended for ALS teachers and authorized personnel of the Division. Registration requires accurate information, including your DepEd email address and employee ID. Each registration is reviewed by a Division administrator, who may verify it against the official ALS teacher roster and may approve, correct, or reject it.
Each account is personal to its holder and may not be shared or transferred.
3.Account Security
You are responsible for keeping your password confidential and for all activity that takes place under your account. Use a strong password, sign out of shared devices, and report any suspected unauthorized access to the Division immediately.
4.Acceptable Use
StayEd may be used only for official ALS program purposes. You agree not to:
- Access, copy, export, or share learner information except as required by your official duties;
- Enter information you know to be false or misleading;
- Attempt to access accounts, records, or features you are not authorized to use;
- Interfere with, disrupt, or attempt to bypass the security of the system;
- Use the system in any way that violates the Data Privacy Act of 2012 or other applicable laws.
5.Confidentiality of Learner Information
Learner records in StayEd contain personal and sensitive personal information. You must handle them in accordance with the Data Privacy Act of 2012 and DepEd data privacy policies, disclose them only to persons authorized to receive them, and take care when enabling learner view links or downloading reports.
6.Risk Assessments and AI-Assisted Recommendations
Dropout risk results and AI-assisted recommendations are provided as decision support. They are estimates based on the data entered and may be incomplete or inaccurate. They must not be the sole basis for any decision affecting a learner; users remain responsible for exercising their own professional judgment.
7.Accuracy of Records
Reports and risk assessments are generated directly from the information users enter. You are expected to keep the records you manage complete, accurate, and up to date, and to correct errors promptly when you become aware of them.
8.Availability of the Service
StayEd is provided on an “as is” and “as available” basis. The Division works to keep the system reliable but does not guarantee uninterrupted access. The system may be unavailable from time to time for maintenance, updates, or reasons beyond the Division’s control.
9.Suspension and Termination
The Division may suspend or deactivate an account that is inactive, no longer required for official duties, or used in breach of these Terms or applicable law. Misuse of the system may also result in administrative action under applicable DepEd rules.
10.Limitation of Liability
To the extent permitted by law, the Division is not liable for any loss or damage arising from the use of, or inability to use, StayEd, or from reliance on its risk assessments or recommendations.
11.Governing Law
These Terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of the Philippines, including the Data Privacy Act of 2012, and by applicable DepEd orders and issuances.
12.Changes to These Terms
The Division may revise these Terms from time to time. The “Last updated” date above shows when they were last revised. Continued use of StayEd after a revision takes effect constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.
13.Contact Us
Questions about these Terms may be directed to the Division through the Contact Us page.
